Steel tank construction
Orlando Engineering builds double-walled tanks to unique design requirements. A double-walled tank is described as one that has an additional tank built around it.
Do you need a steel tank?
A double-wall steel design is used to build aboveground storage tanks. Built-in, testable interstitial control capability and impermeable secondary containment are standard features. Orlando engineering provides unmatched efficiency, dependability, support, and value.
For the storage of hazardous fluids, a double wall may be needed, and we also provide Tanks with an additional casing and insulation material on the outside.
What we do
Our double-wall steel tanks have the following features:
- Leak detection system: double-walled tank can be fitted with a leak detection system. The tank does not need to be fitted with a drip tray in this situation.
- Electronic Leak Detection system: If there is a leak in the inner tank wall, a light or audio signal may be used to show it. Every year, it must be reviewed by a BRL K903-certified company to ensure that it is operating correctly.
- Leak Detection Pot system: Using this system allows you to determine whether there is a leak in the tank’s inner wall. The fluid level will drop, or the color of the fluid will change depending on the choice selected. You should check the fluid level in the pot yourself once a month.
- Stainless Steel: We use stainless steel for double-walled tanks. Stainless steel comes in a variety of grades, with 304(L) and 316(L) being the most common. Duplex stainless steel and other high-quality alloys may also be used. Stainless steel has a long lifetime and needs little maintenance due to its corrosion resistance.
